Welcome to the USPA’s Polo Development Initiative (PDI) program. This USPA program is designed to facilitate the growth of polo by empowering USPA Polo Clubs and approved USPA Polo Schools with financial awards (up to $10,000) dedicated to building business momentum at the club level.

If you succeed, the sport of polo succeeds.

The success of the sport depends on success at the club level, thus it is the intent of the PDI program to offer financial assistance to ignite growth initiative imperative for eventual sustainability.

The 2018 PDI Application is no longer available for submission, the deadline was December 31, 2017 at 11:59pm est.

For those who applied, the next step is your application will be submitted to the PDI Sub-Committee for review with awards announced mid-March 2018. Further questions can be directed to Elizabeth Hedley at ehedley@uspolo.org.

How it Works

The Polo Development Initiative is a reimbursement program designed to support USPA clubs and school doing work that will generate new members, momentum, and help reach financial stability. Our goal is to provide support to those making the sport of polo better.

Based on a list of pre-approved expenses, the USPA will reimburse you up to $10,000 under this program.

Here is the process:

How Do I Apply?

The USPA’s Polo Development Initiative is a reimbursable program that offers awards up to $10,000 for USPA polo clubs and polo schools that are in good standing with the USPA. Anyone associated with an accredited USPA Polo Club or Polo School can fill out the application. Since the PDI program is a reimbursable program, the club or polo school first spends their own money on pre-approved items, then is reimbursed by submitting an invoice, also located on this webpage.

To apply for USPA PDI funds, please fill out the application below by clicking on the PDI 2018 APPLICATION button. You will be asked to read and sign the PDI Guidelines first, then proceed to the 2-part application. All applications are due no later than December 31, 2017 at 11:59pm. Further questions related to 2018 PDI Application and process can be directed to Elizabeth Hedley (ehedley@uspolo.org) until December 15, 2017. We recommend watching the PDI Application Video to fully understand the process.
